Fires To Be Lit

Lincoln & I had a great hike out three weeks ago just before sunset. (And before the snow!) I can’t quite tell you which one of us craves the wild more, but I haven’t yet cried when it came time to go in. Yet.

I am humbled though when out in the General Revelation and give glory to God for revealing Himself to us in His creation for even my son to see at such a young age! I can only pray He chooses to reveal more of Himself to him as he grows.

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. Romans 1:20

Good Evening.

I was going to make a post about our family tonight but I got sidetracked while reading How Great Is Our God, the blog of Jessie Bricker. I hope, Jessie, if you’re reading this you don’t mind me talking about Zoey.

You see, Jeremiah and Jessie Bricker are currently in the process of adopting a baby girl from Ethiopia. They don’t know her yet but they do love this precious child very much. This baby will be the fourth addition to their family. On their blog, which you can go to from our just look on the right side for “How Great Is Our God”, you can read all about what is needed to complete the adoption process. They are also taking donations to bring Zoey home.

Anyway, the whole reason I bring this up is because Jessie posted a letter to Zoey. You’d have no heart if it did not touch you. The love is pure and amazing, between a mother and daughter. Zoey is a lucky girl.

Whoa!

Yes, I know the title of this post is a bit corny but it was the only word that came to mind to describe what I’m feeling. So the holidays are over and usually I’m feeling a bit sad at this time. Missing the Christmas tree, lights and music. Not this year! It was so busy from Thanksgiving to New Years, Whoa! It was all great, being with family you just can’t replace those moments. However I’m just so tired…and so is Michael…and so is Lincoln from going going going. I never really thought I’d be so happy to spend two nights in a row at home but that’s how it was yesterday and tonight. To actually vacuum my house was pure joy. Odd I know.

So, in conclusion, yes I love the holidays and family get togethers. But as part of my “goal” for this new year I will be better organized and prepared for the last few months of 2011.

I hope all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year.
